I’ve been working out with Erica for almost 5 years now. That should tell you something — I’ve never stayed with a trainer this long! I’ve always found a reason to stop working out (I’ve fought my weight my entire life, and I have a REALLY comfortable couch), but Erica keeps me motivated. I’m the kind of person who thinks up excuses not to work out, even on the drive to the gym. Erica knows my strengths and vulnerabilities, and is knowledgeable enough to always come up with a challenging workout every day that fits my needs: I can see the results from her workouts in strength, balance, and mobility. Erica has been an amazing coach and friend to me for the last year and a half. Prior to the pandemic, I was the person who showed up at the last class of the day, and she would coach me even if I was the only one there. Some months I was only able to make it to the gym twice a week. After the pandemic hit, she started personal training with me 4-5 days per week via zoom. My work schedule is unpredictable and I was more consistent with my fitness during quarantine because she was so flexible with our workout schedule. It helped me to have someone to hold me accountable for my own fitness. She programs workouts that both are within my ability to do and are challenging for me. She takes all the thinking out of it for me, and all I have to do is show up and do it. She encourages me when I am hard on myself, and pushes me to be better if she thinks I am selling myself short. Our personal training sessions are what I look forward to every week and have been instrumental in keeping me sane over the last 8 months. I am so much stronger now and I credit the progress I have made to her support, patience and guidance.
